After being publicly outed as a plagiarist, apologizing and the plagiarizing some more just for the hell of it, Shia LaBeouf plans to take a break and retire from all public life…allegedly. Shia tweeted, “In light of the recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life. My love goes out to those who have supported me. #stopcreating.”
Shia was slapped with a cease and desist letter last week by the lawyer representing Daniel Clowes after it was reported that Shia plagiarized his work for his own short film HowardCantour.com. He got caught out there but instead of apologizing for his mistake he made a mockery of his actions. On a side note…does this kinda remind you of Amanda Bynes episodes last year? Anyone? Let’s see how permanent the retirement is!
