Simon Cowell had to report to work yesterday at the X Factor judging table amid alleged baby scandal. Simon was accused to have impregnated Lauren Silverman, the estranged wife of his friend, Andrew Silverman. Simon has even been named in Andrew’s divorce filings claiming Simon is a major cause of the demise of the marriage. “He has to be a very angry guy because they have no-fault divorce in New York,” said Raoul Felder, a celeb divorce lawyer who is not involved in this case told the NYDailyNews. Simon had been confronted with the adultery rumor this past May which he denied, citing they were just friends! His lawyer Martin Singer responded to the rumors via the NY Post, “Any implication or statement that my client is engaged in adultery and has allegedly broken up the marriage of Ms. Silverman is not only false but reckless. Stating my client’s relationship with Lauren Silverman has become more serious such that she is now getting a divorce so that Simon and she can be together . . . is false and defamatory.”
The pregnancy new allegedly blindsided Simon, “The pregnancy has taken him by surprise. He assumed she was using birth control,” a source close to Cowell said.”Simon thought this was a casual relationship — friends with benefits. The pregnancy was not planned. He is feeling tricked. No question that Simon will want to be part of the baby’s life, but I’m not so sure he wants to be part of Lauren’s.”
But a friend of Simon’s told the DailyMail he will take care of his child. “Simon has given all his exes houses – so of course he’s going to be generous to his own child’, adding that ‘he has not even considered not looking after this baby. Anyone who knows him knows that he’s generous to a fault. Lauren keeps saying that she just wants to be with him, she’s so in love with him, they’re very good together. She makes him relax and have fun. She’s fun loving, she loves a party and a giggle. Simon’s himself around her, she’s been good for him. He’s so happy.’
