Simon Cowell created One Direction a few years ago, but now with one man gone from the group…yea Zayn Malik…it looks like it will all be fine eventually! During the “Britain’s Got Talent” press conference Cowell addressed Maliks’ departure, “He’s a fantastic singer. Um, look, he’s got to get his head together a little bit. He needs some time on his own, as he said, to be a normal 22-year-old, which he’s gonna have.”
Simon was later asked about Malik in a separate interview away his alleged solo career. “I can’t give anything away. My main concern is that he’s fine, the boys are good.” Hmmm looks like his hand might be in both cookie jars. Adding, “I’ve always said to all of them, ‘the future’s bright for all of you depending on what you want to do.’ We’ve always hoped that One Direction would stay together for a long time and my hunch is it still will. They’re just too good for everything to stop now… you can’t work together for this long if you’re not friends. You have little spats, everyone does.”
Do you think anyone else will try to ditch the group for a solo career. The boys are still getting used to the new group. “You can’t work together for this long if you’re not friends. They were surprised and shocked, but now they’ve got over it. Well, not over it, but they got used to it, and they’ve been professional. And they’re respecting the fans who [have] turned up to see a great show.” They are probably pissed
