I look at my teeth and I know that they could be whiter. I’m not talking about crazy fake white but a natural white. I’m guilty…I drink coffee but it’s not black coffee, its coffee with milk but I know that it still stains my teeth. Just like we take care of our hair, skin and nails we have to take care of our teeth…I mean they are on our faces, front and center. A beautiful smile is a great attribute to have. Just brushing your teeth is not enough anymore…we have to include whitening to the agenda too.

Colgate is a classic toothpaste with whitening properties. This toothpaste will keep your teeth looking and feeling good but it won’t produce dramatic results
Middle of the road (better): Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects, Dental Whitening Formula ($30)

These Whitestrips can reveal a more beautiful white smile in just 10 days. Caution: this can cause tooth and gum sensitivity. Will whiten your teeth 1-2 shades.

If you have the cash (best): Professional bleaching $300 and up
For professional bleaching you have to go to your dentist. This is the fastest but most expensive way to whiten teeth
1. Trays- your dentist makes a mold of your teeth and makes a tray for you to take home and you have to use the tray with a professional strength peroxide a few minutes a day.
2. Bleaching- Your dentist puts professional strength peroxide on your teeth (stronger than the take-home tray) and then activates the peroxide with a laser and BAM—–super white teeth but you need to maintain your teeth with a gel or tray for 2 weeks
