And it only cost NBC $45 Million. Wow talk about the split of the year! This story has totally pushed Tiger Woods out the media spotlight…Tiger is sooo 2009! After all the whoopla…Conan took the knife out of his back and left a little bit richer from the NBC studios…
“In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew, and decided to supplement the severance they were getting out of his own pocket,” O’Brien’s manager, Gavin Polone, told the Wall Street Journal. “Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible.”
Conan will get $33M and $12M will go to his senior staffers. I hope he takes them with him…where he may go!! Is FOX calling yet?
The Tonight Show will now go back to Jay Leno.
