Susan Sarandon Says There’s No Feud With Julia Roberts

Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts have been plagues with feud rumors since their 1999 movie, Stepmom. Well Susan is finally setting the record straight and clearing up exactly what happened. “Press printed that Julia & I hated each other during Stepmom. Found out it was my PR person creating rumors. #FeudFX,” Susan wrote on Twitter. She also included an article from November 1998’s Entertainment Weekly. In the 1998 article, Susan said, ”If you make a movie with a male star, everyone assumes you’re f—ing. If it’s a female star, everyone assumes you’re fighting.” At the time Julia also added to EW, “Actually, Susan and I were kinda hoping that people would say we were f——. Now that’s delicious cocktail-party fodder. But this? Boring.”

Susan stars in Feud

Susan was live-tweeting during her new FX show, Feud, which also stars Jessica Lange. The shows follows the real-life feud between actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis in the 60s. Susan also tweeted about her relationship with Lange, “The #1 question I get in interviews is whether Jessica & I get along. Jess & I not only got along great during filming, we’re now dating.I mean, staying in touch. She’s one of the reasons I agreed to do the series. Working with brilliant actors only makes you better. ”  That was funny!
