The X Factor crowned its winner last night and if you weren’t watching the winner was, Tate Stevens. Stevens took the title from teen darling, Carly Rose Sonenclar and called his win ‘blessed.’ He even divulged his nervous stomach. “First and foremost I have to thank the man upstairs for taking care of me. To my family all the county music fans, God bless you. Thank you so much for the votes. This is the best day of my life!”
“I can’t explain it. It’s not real, it hasn’t happened,” Stevens told MTV News. “I don’t know. I’m so blessed to be here and be in this situation. It’s crazy. For people to like what I do enough to vote on it every week and for me to eventually win this whole thing that’s an amazing feeling right now. It’s crazy,” he said about the dedicated country music fans that turned out to vote each week. I wanted to throw up. I did, I’m not kidding. My stomach started hurting. I’m looking over there going, ‘Oh my god.’ ” He later added, “I’m blessed, that’s all I can say. I’m truly blessed right now.”
On a side note, Simon Cowell has his eye on group, Emblem3. “I think there’s a pretty good chance. I’m not going to let anyone else get them. There will be some pretty big announcements at the end of the show,” he said during last weeks show. We are still waiting for that announcement.
