Todd Harrell, bassist for the band, 3 Doors Down was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide. Harrell was intoxicated at the time of the fatal crash which occured late Friday night on a Nashville highway according to E! News. The accident took the life of Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr, 47. According to police reports Harrel was driving his 2011 Cadillac CTS westbound on I-40 at a high rate of speed when the car clipped Shoulders’ 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Shoulders was not able to regain control of his car hit a guardrail,went down an embankment and overturned. Shoulders was ejected form the vehicle because he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Harrell was administered a sobriety and admitted to consuming hard cider and taking prescription Lortab and Xanax. He even attempted to bring controlled substances in jail (in his sock) which he was also charged with. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
