Tupac’s mother Alfeni Shakur has passed away at the age of 69. According to a new report police were called to the home of the later rapper’s mother after she suffered a possible cardiac arrest. She was taken to the hospital, but died just before 10:30pm.
Afeni Shakur Davis, who was born Alice Faye Williams, famously joined the Black Panther movement in the 1960’s and was later acquitted in the 70’s of conspiracy to bomb several landmarks. Tupac wrote hit song, ‘Dear Mama’ for his mother as an ode to his childhood struggles and the love and respect for his mom.
