Gigi Gorgeous was in the middle of a scary situation yesterday when she was detained in a Dubai airport for being transgender. The famous Youtube wrote a post on Instagram over her emotional ordeal.”After being detained and held at the Dubai airport for over 5 hours, this was the moment my baby came to rescue me. Yesterday was one of the scariest moments of my entire life and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. How you can be denied entry somewhere just because of who you are is seriously disgusting and also very scary. This further proves the need for CHANGE. I am now on my way to somewhere much more accepting. Safe and sound and happy. I love you guys💋.”
Gigi transitioned from male to female a few years ago and her passport reflects her female gender. According to TMZ, Gigi was told by the immigration officer said, “I was told you are transgender. You cannot come into the country.” They say her passport says male and Gigi says that is not true. Per Dubai law te “imitation of women by men” is illegal, and could have jail time.
We hope she is ok! This is a sad situation and the reason people can’t be themselves and have to live in fear!
