Rappers Drake and Future don’t seem to be getting along too well lately with Drake dropping Future from his tour to begin on Friday in Pittsburgh! What’s the beef about…well according to Page Six, Drake is livid that his tour mate dissed his new record, Nothing Was The Same in a Billboard interview. Future stopped by Billboard to talk about his new album, “Honest” and dissed Drake’s new album. The editor Erika Ramirez released some of the quotes on Twitter…“Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do’ — Future.”
Future’s managers said his quotes were off the record…still not a good thing to do when you are going on tour…right? Drake demanded he be dropped from the tour. “He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he’ll fire him.” Future was fired and was almost rehired before he ultimately he decided to nix the tour…and is now looking to file a lawsuit against Drake for his $1.5 million tour pay day.
A rep for Billboard told Page Six: “We regret that miscommunication surrounding Future’s recent visit, one that seemed clear to us was on the record, may have caused any trouble for the artist.”
