Amanda Bynes is back to her old antics. Bynes who seems to have relocated to NYC allegedly tried to steal a $200 hat from Barneys on Madison Ave when she was stopped by security. She reportedly put the hat on and tried to walk out without paying for the merchandise. Bynes was brought back into the store  by security according to TMZ. Other customers claim that “acting crazy” while in the store. NYPD officers arrived  soon after the incident to question Bynes but she was already let go by security. Sources tell TMZ that Amanda was actually hiding from fans and grabbed the hat to hide and did not plan to steal anything.

But now TMZ is reporting that Bynes says she left her purse in her car and the driver was no where to be found. She found a hat she liked and then planned to pay but she didn’t have her purse or wallet and she walked out the store to go find her driver when she was nabbed by security. She says she was distracted when a female fan attempted to snap a few photos of her so she walked out the store without thinking.

But this isn’t Amanda first incident this week…she had a few altercations with fans this week, one just last night when Amanda hit an alleged fan when she hit up a club and got upset with a fan trying to get a photos. Amanda allegedly grabbed the fan a little too hard and left nail marks on the fan.

Amanda explained the incident to People. “I was walking out of the store to get my handbag out of the car. I had been harassed by a man – a man and this woman were basically trying to take my picture inside the store, and so I asked them to stop taking it, but they wouldn’t … They were like paparazzi but undercover. I walked out of the store, and the sensor went off,” she says. “I didn’t realize I was wearing my cap. And the cap – I was purchasing it, and I was actually still shopping. I basically just had to leave. They said, ‘Please, just don’t shop at Barneys anymore.’ But oh well. It’s fine.”
