Amanda Bynes was arrested last night for marijuana possession and reckless endangerment after chucking her bong out the window (from the 36th floor…no one was injured), but this was all after her doorman called the police over the former actress smoking weed in the hallway. When she was handcuffed she was wearing a blond wig, a black Versace sweatshirt and gray sweat pants and yelling, “Don’t you know who I am?” according to TMZ. Amanda was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and later taken to Manhattan Central Booking for processing.
Amanda Bynes was arrested in her NYC apartment Thursday night for marijuana possession and throwing evidence out the window … TMZ has learned.
According to law enforcement sources … a building official called police after spotting Amanda in the lobby with a joint, acting erratically and talking to herself. We’re told when cops arrived they knocked at her door and she let them in.
Our sources say when police saw the bong Amanda quickly tossed it out the window … which fortunately didn’t hit anyone on the street below.
Amanda, who was wearing a platinum blonde wig, was placed under arrest and went ballistic, yelling, “Don’t you know who I am?”
She was booked for criminal possession of pot, as well as reckless endangerment and FELONY tampering with evidence.
Our law enforcement sources say Amanda was briefly taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation and then taken to the station for booking.
But the cop shot wasn’t the last stop. A cuffed Amanda was then taken to night court just before midnight. She’s still there in a holding cell, waiting for a judge. She should get a hearing sometime this AM.
According to Radar, just before her arrest her parents got in contact with a lawyer over a conservatorship (Like Britney Spears). “Rick & Lynn have met with several lawyers that handle conservatorships in the past month, because they want to get a conservatorship of their daughter,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “They have been advised that even as disturbing as Amanda’s behavior is, it’s very unlikely that a judge would sign off on a temporary conservatorship. Conservatorships are very hard to get, and being mentally ill and addicted to drugs isn’t enough. Amanda hasn’t ever been to rehab or ever agreed to see a mental health professional. Her parents are absolutely powerless to do anything at this point.”
