American Idol contestant Caleb Johnson may have been sick with bronchitis, but the resident rocker still ‘murdered’ a quieter performance (for him) of ‘Faithfully’ by Journey. Caleb has been consistent in his performances always ready to give a performance during his songs. Shall we call him the front-runner?
Harry Connick Jr. has yet to stand up for a excellent performance, but he praised Johnson saying, “That’s gotta make you feel pretty good. It was exciting watching you walk out because I think everybody was anticipating two things, one a really strong, consistent powerful vocal and the fact that we’ve always been wanting to hear you sing something with a little more subtlety and that’s exactly what you did. I’ve been waiting for that since the day I met you. I’m proud of you.”
