I knew Lee would win, but I hope that both finalists have great careers. But last night was not about Lee, but about Simon’s farewell. Simon did in fact make American Idol with his harsh criticism and snarky attitude. Simon will be missed and I don’t know how long AI can survive without him!

After winning AI, this is what Lee said:
“This is amazing!” DeWyze said once host Ryan Seacrest announced his name. “Thank you guys so much for everything… I can’t believe this… I’m so happy right now. I’ve never been happier in my life!”
