Talk about bad timing, Crystal Bowersox’s boyfriend, Big Tony broke up with her on the day of  the finale…what a jerk! And she didn’t win, double the hurt! But Crystal is cool with the breakup, he is a small town guy and she has big dreams so…better luck next time!
Crystal told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show,
“Big Tony… he went home. He wasn’t cool with the lifestyle,” revealed the dreadlocked single mother. “I didn’t break up with him… it was a mutual thing.”
Bowersox was stoic about the split, adding, “It’s cool though, we’re both logical, grown adults. He’s a small town guy and that’s fine, I’m a small town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything, this career, this lifestyle. I didn’t think he was up for it… he didn’t think he was up for it.”
Already a pro, the end of her relationship didn’t faze her on show day. “I was a little sad that he did it on performance day, but then again, it set that fire to my belly.”
