Family and friends of Prince in L.A. attended a memorial in L.A. Tons of celebs attended the event like Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia (his ex-wives), Gwen Stefani, Spike Lee, Eric Benet, Dita Von Teese, Larry King, Janelle Monae, Tony Kanal, Nile Rodgers, Herbie Hancock and Tavis Smiley according to TMZ. It was held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Most men wore white roses and a lot of purple tributes. Janelle Monae, Esperanza Spalding and members of The Revolution performed Prince songs.
In other news the doctor who was supposed to treat Prince before his death has left his practice for now. Police obtained a search warrant —-and are looking at what prescriptions Dr. Michael Schulenberg may have give the late star along with medical records. He had written prescriptions for Prince in the week leading up to his death. Dr. Schulenberg worked at North Memorial Physicians clinic in Minnetonka, Minnesota, but a rep from the facility tells TMZ, the doctor left “in the last few days.” It’s unclear if its permanent.
