The trial between Britney Spears parents, Jamie and Lynne and her former manager, Sami Lufti has gotten very serious, with Lufti alleging Spears was relying heavily on drugs before her 2008 meltdown and hospitalization when he stepped in to help her. Lufti issuing the Spears family libel.Lutfi’s attorney, Joseph Schleimer claims he is being used as a scapegoat for Britney’s meltdown. “My client was made a scapegoat for the drug abuse and erratic behavior of Britney Spears. She liked to use amphetamines—speed or uppers. She liked to take that drug. And most of the things that went wrong were related to that drug.” Lufti also claims Spears shaved her hair because she heard drug usage could be detected in hair and she did not want to lose her sons.
After Spears’ hospitalization, her family filed a restraining order accusing him of crushing up pills and putting in her food, hiding her cell phone and calling the paparazzi to follow her. Britney does not have to testify in court.
