Actress Elle Fanning just landed a huge gig as the new L’Oréal Paris International Spokesperson. The 19-year-old beauty chatted with WWD on her new venture, “When I was little, it was always so comforting — I just remember that L’Oréal lipstick smell.” Elle will attend the Cannes Film Festival with the beauty giant, where L’Oréal Paris has been the official beauty partner for 20 years. She is starring in two movies at the festival, Sofia Coppola’s “The Beguiled,” and John Cameron Mitchell’s “How to Talk to Girls at Parties.”

Elle joins mega stars/spokespeople Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon, Beyonce, Andie MacDowell, Naomi Watts, Eva Longoria and Blake Lively. And she’s already filmed her first commercial for L’Oréal Paris’ Paradise mascara. “I got to say ‘Because you’re worth it.’ I was like, ‘That is so cool.’” And the teen has a cool, positive message forshe wants to put out. “To have little beauty anecdotes or confidence-boosters, or something along those lines shared by L’Oréal, I think is a really crucial thing,” she said.

Elle is perfect for L’Oreal. She is so poised and well-spoken.
