Ellie Kemper (also known as Erin on The Office) as has joined the cast of 21 Jump Street along with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.
Hot on the high heels of “Bridesmaids,” thesp Ellie Kemper has landed a supporting role in Columbia Pictures’ action comedy “21 Jump Street.”
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum star as undercover cops working the high school beat. Kemper will play Ms. Griggs, an annoyingly sincere chemistry teacher who’s attracted to Tatum’s character and surprised when she discovers he’s not a real student.
Ice Cube and Brie Larson co-star alongside Rob Riggle, Dave Franco, Johnny Simmons, Dakota Johnson, Jake M. Johnson and DeRay Davis.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing from their own screenplay. Neal Moritz is producing, while Tatum and Hill are exec producing the pic, which is currently in production.
Kemper is best known for playing perky receptionist Erin on NBC’s “The Office,” which returns this fall sans Steve Carell.
