Singer-songwriter George Michael had died. The ex-Wham singer passed away at age 53. Michael’s publicist told BBC  Christmas Day of his death, “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.” His cause of death is still unknown.

Michael is known for his Wham hit “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and his solo hit “I Want Your Sex” among a ton of other songs.
