Who knew that a cute little southern girl from Texas would become so wealthy…not from her singing and acting career but from her clothing company! The Jessica Simpson company already made $750 million this year and with a new added sportswear line…she will be hitting that billion dollar mark very soon!
According to Women’s Wear Daily, Jessica’s licensed products which includes footwear, clothing, accessories and swimwear racked up $750 million in retail sales this year alone!
Her latest move is her Jessica Simpson Sportswear that will debut next fall and will compliment Jessica Simpson Jeanswear which was shipped to stores last June. Those two lines are anticipated to generate between $150 million to $200 million in the next two years!
“Since entering the fashion industry, I’ve envisioned including a sportswear line in my lifestyle brand,†Jessica has said. “This new sportswear line reflects my evolving style which combines comfort, femininity and flirty fun.â€
