A Judge in Kesha’s Sony court case may have a conflict of interest as she is married to a Sony lawyer. According to Page Six, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreichis said to have tossed out Kesha’s case asking to be let out of Dr. Luke’s contract after she accused him of sexual assault.
Kornreich’s husband happens to be lawyer Ed Kornreich, who is a partner at Proskauer Rose, where Sony/RCA is a client.“There seems to be a strong conflict of interest,” a music insider told Page Six. Kesha has since dropped both her California sexual assault.
A court representative for Judge Korneich told E! News, “Where an employee’s spouse or children are employed, judicial or non-judicial, is not something we are involved in. If counsel for either party has concerns, they can take it up in the proper venue.”
