Kathy Griffin could have been the new host of Fashion Police, but the gig might not be for her. Kathy confirmed to Access Hollywood that she was approached to take over for the late Joan River — who also happens to be her mentor — on Fashion Police. “They did offer it to me. I don’t know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time.”
So it looks as if Kathy may have turned down the offer, but in Hollywood you never know. “I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan’s work,” she told Access. “She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need. Somebody’s gotta be out there poking fun at the ridiculousness of all of this!”
I don’t think Kathy feels like she can fill Joan’s shoes…but Joan probably would have approved of Kathy on Fashion Police. They ladies are known for their controversial, over the top comedy!
