Of course you would assume that with so much bad press that Mel Gibson may have fled the country but the rep so No…He is here in the US! There were some reports that he had went to Australia where he grew up but thats not the case…he is currently filming a movie in NYC…prob in a sound stage and not on the streets.
Over the weekend, reports swirled that Gisbon — now engaged in an ugly custody war with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva — is heading to Australia, where he and his family moved when he was 12.
But his rep says “there’s no truth” to those reports.
Gibson is focusing on work, his rep says.
His rep confirms that the actor resumed shooting the Jodie Foster-directed comedy The Beaver in NYC “two weeks ago,” after the July 1 release of his first expletive-ridden leaked tape and after he was dropped by his talent agency, William Morris Endeavor.
