Office alum Mindy Kaling revealed an interesting tidbit when she stopped by Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live —she was almost cast in Bridesmaids. Kaling was heartbroken when she lost the role of Lilian to Maya Rudolph. When Andy Cohen asked if she has ever missed out on a big role. “No one ever calls me in to audition for things because I’m so specific. Actually, you know what it was — Bridesmaids, which I loved. They called me in for Maya Rudolph’s part, and I practiced it so much and I was so into it, and I love that whole cast. That one was a heartbreaker.”
Imagine if Mindy had won the role, it probably would have still been funny but soo different. I personally love Mindy…but for me she’ll always be Kelly Kapoor for me. I miss The Office.
