Greg Plitt’s death has been ruled an accident after he was tragically struck by a train in California while making a video for an energy drink. According to the LA Times, the model/actor/reality star was filming an action shot while attempting to outrun the train that was coming on the track but he may have stumbled.
His death was ruled an accident due to multiple blunt force injuries.
Metrolink officials confirmed that Plitt did not have permission to film on the tracks. “He had no permit to be there,” said Jeff Lustgarten, a Metrolink spokesman. “We have a whole process for people to go through if they want to be on our right-of-way, especially for film crews.”
The engineer of the train says he saw Plitt on the tracks and honked the horn and tried to brake but could not stop in time.
Plitt has graced as many as 250 magazines and was a star on the bravo show, “Work Out.”
