The Olsen twins may be millionaires with a billion dollar company but according to a 40 interns they weren’t sharing the wealth. The class-action suit helmed by former design intern Shahista Lalani, states that interns were overworked and not paid for their work at the twin company, Dualstar Entertainment Group.

Lalani, a Parsons School of Design graduate worked with the head technical designer for the Olsens’ fashion label, The Row, for five months according to Page Six and the work was grueling. “She was very demanding,” Lalani said. “I was doing the work of three interns. I was talking to her all day, all night. Emails at nighttime for the next day, like 10 p.m. at night.” She adds she was hospitalized for dehydration due to the demands of the job. Lalani adds she never interacted with the twins and only saw them at certain meetings.

The scorned interns want at least the minimum wage plus overtime they feel they should have gotten for doing the same work as other paid employees. Listen I get interns have to pay their dues, but its crazy the amount of hours placed on people not getting paid plus going to school and/or working other jobs.
