"The Ides of March" New York City Premiere - Arrivals

New deatils in the death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman are surfacing. Just a day after being found dead in his NYC apartment TMZ is reporting that Hoffman may have had up to 50 bags of heroin in his possession at the time of his death. At first police reported finding 10 bags and needles in the apartment but sources are now saying it could have been 5 times that amount. There is also another story circulating that a witness claims Hoffman purchased drugs from two men after withdrawing a large amount of money from an ATM and police are trying to obtain surveillance video from nearby stores to verify the story and track down the dealer.

It’s unclear if Hoffman was still in a relationship with Mimi O’Donnell the mother of his three children, but he was slated to pick up the children on Sunday before being discovered by a friend when he didn’t pick up the kids. An autopsy is expected today.
