Some people say the darndest things! So yesterday Raven-Symoné decided to stir the pot on the View when the ladies decide to discuss a study that found Americans rush to racial judgement based on a persons name. Then a viral video was shown of the 60 most “ghetto names.” And well Raven agreed that she too will discriminate about someone based on a name.
“Just to bring it back, can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory,’ because I think that’s a better word. And I’m very discriminatory against words like the ones they were saying in those names. I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you.”
Well let’s just say she stirred the Twitter pot and everyone went ham on her, especially since she doesn’t have the most traditional name or look!
