Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj have beef—apparently yes if you believe their lyrics. Remy took a huge swipe at Nicki Minaj’s rap throne on the newly dropped track, titled “Sether.” Remy went straight for Nicki’s throat with lyrics like, “You stole that line about bitches being your sons/ How you take my ’09 jail tweet and run Talkin’ ‘bout bringing knives to a fight with guns/ When the only shot you ever took was in your buns.” Ouch she also made an insinuation that Nicki had a romantic relationship with Trey Songz.
Now Remy didn’t just slam Nicki for no reason—it all started with Minaj’s recent song with Gucci Mane, “Make Love.” Nicki reportedly said, “Oooohhh, oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here?/One platinum plaque, album flopped, bitch, where? (bitch, where?)…You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap/ You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques.”
But instead of going to Remy—Nicki went for Trey Songz. Trey tweeted, “Even when you stay out of the way they will have ya name all in some sh*t. Wake up to new comedy everyday. Focus.” Nicki wasn’t having it, “Wut u SHOULD b saying is that it’s not true, seeing as it’s not. Real niggaz do real things. I done gotchu 6 million plaques.” Minaj tweeted back, “Lol, what u SHOULD b saying is that it’s not true, seeing as it’s not. Real niggaz do real things. I done gotchu 6 million.” Sge later deleted the tweet. But Trey responded, “you need to be mad at Remy Nicki. 😞. I didn’t post anything indirect. I gathered a understanding of events and then spoke my piece. You just mad. I still love you.”
