Last we knew Lea Michele was a regular on Scream Queens, but the show has yet to be picked up by Fox for a third season and now she’s said to be attached to a new ABC pilot. According to Deadline, Lea was released by Ryan Murphy from her deal on the Fox/20th TV series Scream Queens in order for her to be able to head over to ABC. But with Scream Queens’ fate still unknown we don’t know what will happen to Hester—but if you watched last season she was scarcely used as a serial killer. But we figure Lea is open to return to the show.
So in the meantime, Lea will head over to ABC for the City Mayor pilot which centers on Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall), a struggling hip-hop artist who runs for mayor to promote his mixtape — and wins. Lea’s role is still unknown, but Lea was original offered the role of Valentina Flores, Courtney’s Chief of Staff .
The pilot is being co-produced by Daveed Diggs, who was part of the original cast of Hamilton on Broadway.
