Rihanna is just like us fluctuating weight and all! The international superstar sat down to talk style with The Cut last week at Bloomingdales and dished on something that plagues us all— how to dress when we all have fluctuating weight! “Well, I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day — the next week — I need something oversized; I need a little crop here and a high-waist there to hide that part, you know?”

Rihanna, the ever-changing fashion chameleon says she dresses for her body that morning when she goes into her closet. “I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what’s working for my body that morning. I feel like that’s how everyone should go after fashion, because it’s an individual thing. And then, if you take it further, it’s like: What week are you having? You having a skinny week? You having a fat week? Are we doing arms this week? We doing legs this week? We doing oversized? I love to play with silhouettes as well, but I think it’s important to make sure that you wear the thing that works for your body the best, and that’s flattering.” We love that Rihanna is so open!

We love that Rihanna is ok with a little weight gain or a little weight loss and dresses accordingly. We often struggle with the fact that something doesn’t fit right after a few too many pizza slices, but not RiRi, she’ll just reach for something oversized that day. One thing we are sad about is Rihanna’s departure from her Puma line. “New York is where the story of Fenty Puma began and for my final collection with them it was not even something to think twice about.” Her Spring 2018 collection was her last! But we know that she will always be on the fashion scene…maybe with her own solo collection.
