‘Rob & Big’ Star Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin passed away at age 45 yesterday. While his rep did confirm the news the Variety no cause of death was given. Boykin starred with skateboarder and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek, in “Rob & Big” for three seasons from 2006 to 2008. He later dropped into Dyrdek’ other MTV shows, “Fantasy Factory” and “Ridiculousness.”

Boykin’s MTV family is devastated at the news. Rob shared a sweet memory and kind words for his friend on Instagram, “My heart is broken. I don’t want to write this post. I don’t want to believe that this is reality. I am so thankful for you. We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can’t fathom that it would end so suddenly. You will forever be in my heart.”

Boykin is survived by a nine-year-old daughter, Isis.
