Simon Cowell may have a baby scandal on his hands, but he still has to promote his new season of the X Factor and reporters were blunt at the Fox panel at the Television Critics Association meeting in Beverly Hills yesterday. When asked about the baby news he replied, “Unfortunately, I have to keep this private for the moment. It’s just one of those things, but thank you anyway.” But a persistent reporter asked, “The new baby. Were you as surprised by the news as we were?” To which he replied, “I haven’t read the newspapers. Am I missing something?” Later adding, “There are a lot of things I will eventually clear up when the time is right. I really have to be sensitive here because there are a lot of people’s feelings involved.”
Simon was allegedly blindsided when his friend Andrew Silverman’s wife Lauren Silverman allegedly announced she was pregnant with Simon’s child…scandalous!
