Colin Farrell stopped byThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and gave startling revelation —-he was once a suspect in an attempted murder when he was a teen. During the game “True Confessions,” a play off his new TV show “True Detectives” with Vince Vaughn, the three men would tell take turns telling a story from an envelope and the other men would have to decipher if they are lying a not.
Colin said, “When I was a late teen, I got brought in for questioning as a suspect in an attempted murder.” Jimmy and Vince took turns questioning him and both believed he was telling the truth.
Farrell later added, “I was pulled in by the cops and they showed me a photo of the pencil sketch of the guy that had attempted to murder this other gentleman, had beat him up and left him in his own apartment and set the apartment on fire and split, thereby leaving the guy to burn to death. [The photo] was me. They said, ‘What do you think about that picture?’ And I went, ‘I think I’m in trouble.”
Farrell continued, “It was terrifying. I was there for about six hours. Thankfully, a friend of mine had kept a journal and that particular night at that particular time, we were at a party on the other side of town doing ecstasy.”
