Zendaya is a slim lady— we all know that, but she became the target of a body shamer after she made an appearance at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards. Zendaya stepped on stage to accept the award for Favorite Female TV Star and became the victim of an online attacker.
Comedian Julie Klausner took to Twitter to slam the actress/singer’s slim frame writing, “Zendaya’s ultimate retort to Giuliana Rancic is starving herself down to the size of one of her elbowz. You don’t have to have an eating disorder to attend the Kids’ Choice Awards….but it helps! I will never stop criticizing celebs who perpetuate dangerous beauty standards for a generation of girls who grow up thinking they’re fat. I’m concerned with the generation of girls who aspire to look like Zendaya. I do not worry about Zendaya’s health or care whether she eats.”
Well Zendaya is not stranger to public criticism and responded to her heckler. “Do you find this funny? I will write another paragraph to educate you aswell #youreallywannabenext? https://twitter.com/julieklausner/status/708862906805448705 …“…”Can’t wait,” Klausner responded. before Zendaya added, “Now….everyone go look in the mirror at their beautiful body, and love that s–t #thickgirlswinning #skinnygirlswinning #weallwinning.”
It didn’t end there…Julie added, “I would like to use this opportunity to educate Zendaya fans that the Reagans ignored AIDS. Sticking up 4 AIDS is rad. It gets such a bad rap! Love that Zendaya goes so far as 2 have Nancy Reagan’s body type! Let’s not fight. Here is my olive branch to Zendaya fans- can we just all agree that 1) all women are beautiful and 2) Zendaya hates Jews? “For those who have spoken to me respectfully about post-racialist bia…I won’t apologize, non-apologize, delete tweets, backpedal or refuse to own my shit. BUT- I will be more thoughtful going forward. /end. I’m not for everyone. You can take it or leave it! It’s legal and more than ok not to like me!”
