Demi Lovato did a brave thing, not only did she pose nude for Vanity Fair, but she also asked for no Photoshop or retouching. “The most challenging part of that photo shoot for me was going in the buff with no Photoshop,” she told Access Hollywood. “There were times where I was looking at the pictures with the photographer and he would say, ‘Oh, we could fix that,’ and I was like, ‘No, we can’t. We cannot use Photoshop in this shoot’.”
In the past Demi has dealt with addiction, self-harm and eating disorders. “Of course it’s awkward. But when I start to think about the message, when I would start to think about how many people this would inspire, I got more comfortable doing it.”
I love her message. I love more that she doesn’t hide her struggles. It’s more powerful to get advice from someone who’s been there.
