It may have been an HBO hit, but would famous celebs show up for the movie, yes they did and in droves. If you’ve caught a trailer for the movie then you’ve probably already seen Ronda Rousey, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg there’s also Piers Morgan, Matt Lauer, Maria Menounos, Russell Wilson, Baron Davis, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Clay Matthews, T.I., Common, Calvin Harris and Pharrell, Mark Cuban, Warren Buffett, Emily Ratajkowski, Gary Busey, Bob Saget, Gary Busey, David Spade, Jessica Alba, Armie Hammer, Ed O’Neill, David Faustino, George Takei, Kelsey Grammer, Andrew Dice Clay, Liam Neeson, Jon Favreau, David Arquette, Mike Tyson and Mark Wahlberg….Which of course the show is loosely based on.

So why did so many drop into the movie, “We don’t pay them a lot of money,” the celebs “have a good time and they like it,” director Doug Ellin told USA TODAY.  Writer Rob Weiss added, “For them, they’re part of that family. All the athletes love it. We’ve been fortunate to have a dedicated fan base that includes some real cool people.” So basically it’s for the love of the show. Some of the cameos weren’t even planned, if a celeb stopped by the set they might just have popped into a scene.
