Gwen Stefani thought she would grow old with her hubby, Gavin Rossdale (Notebook-style) and then the scandal hit followed by a heartbreaking divorce—“my dreams were shattered,” adding “All I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have.”
And yes Gavin did cheat with the nanny and Gwen found out the day after the Grammys 2015. “Everybody knows what happened next. February 9. I obviously know the date. It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret.” She chose to keep quiet for the kids.
But she is looking to the future, with Blake Shelton. “It was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time. And then everything flipped. It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next.'”
