Madonna and ex-Guy Ritchie have been publicly fighting over son, Rocco after he ran away late last year and refused to return to his mother for Christmas. Madonna took the matter to court but her 15 year old dug his heels in and wants to remain in London with his father and a NY judge agrees. “No one is disrupting this household . The child is in school; let us try to allow him to go forward in the most normal way,” said New York Supreme Court judge Deborah Kaplan. “We’re not forcing the child to leave school. His mother isn’t asking that.” But she will intervene if they don’t come up with an agreement. “No one is disrupting his household other than the inability of the parents to reach a resolution. If they cannot resolve this matter then eventually the court will.”

Rocco’s lawyer says he is happy in his school currently.  “In almost every conversation, he has stressed to me how stressful [the very public custody battle is]. He is going to school now, which is a great step forward, and the parents should be commended that they were able to reach this decision … He’s enjoying himself there; he’s having a good educational experience; the school seems to be a great fit for him.”

But he also wants a private resolution to his parents custody battle.”The child has conveyed … strongly through his counsel, and I would understand that he would like this matter resolved … and handled in the most private way possible, given the circumstances … I value his views as well as the views of his parents,”  the judge said.

The parents have allegedly been trying to hash out an agreement but have not!
