Kim Kardashian is going old school when it comes to her weight loss tactics. She has turned to a corset to cinch her waist and give her that hourglass shape. Kim posted her weight loss technique on Instagram with just a few hashtags, “#hourglass #waisttraining #nophotoshopnecessary #whatawaist.com @premadonna87.”
But do the trainers work? Well according Stephen Ball, an associate professor in the department of nutrition and exercise physiology at the University of Missouri, the trainers don’t work. Ball told Today, “It’s going to make you look slimmer when you have it on, but I don’t know any physiology that would explain that you’re going to lose body fat by wearing this device. People want a quick fix. They don’t want to put in the effort that it actually takes and so I’m sure lots of women will see these pictures and go out and spend their money on these types of devices when they should be focusing on exercise and healthy eating.”
