After an 18 month struggle with cancer, David Bowie has died at the age of 69. A statement on the rocker’s website confirmed the news, ” David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”
With more than 50 years in the music business, the glam rocker even released his 25th album, Blackstar, on Friday, also his 69th birthday. He is survived by his wife/model Iman, daughter, Alexandria (born in 2000), and son Duncan Jones (from a previous relationship).
