The rumor mill for the US version of X Factor has been running for months now and the newest name to pop up for it is Rihanna. I think Rihanna is too busy for the show because she would have to stop touring and commit to the show for a certain amount of time but…if the money is good…she may follow it!
According to Look magazine, the singer may join Cowell on the show when it begins filming later this year.
“To get her on the show would give it real star power,” a source told the magazine. “Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole are also being considered for places on the judging panel, because they’ve got a proven track record of being great judges, but that doesn’t rule Rihanna out.
“She has a massive appeal and a real edge to her,” they added. “Simon knows she wouldn’t be afraid to give her opinion.”
Others who have been rumored for the show’s judging panel include Will Smith, Katy Perry, Mick Jagger and Mariah Carey.
The X Factor launches on Fox this September.
X Factor starts in September…it seems far away and close at the same time…I guess X Factor and Idol wouldn’t run into each other so there will not be a ratings duel!
