Sherri Shepherd is about to be hit with a nasty divorce from husband, Lamar Sally and now she is being slammed by her ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley, who wants custody of their son. According to a new set of court documents Shepherds ex-husband filed an emergency request to modify his custody agreement over their 9-year-old special needs son, Jeffrey Jr in April, according to TMZ. In the doc, Tarpley claims Shepherd has full work schedule with “The View,” “The Newlywed Game,” acting gigs, book tours and movies and Jeffrey Jr. is left to be cared for by “unskilled nannies” and is falling behind in school.
Jeffrey also added that his son suffers from self-esteem and has not learned proper hygiene care and wants full custody of their son. Sherri did respond to his court filing with her own, saying that Jeffrey is an absentee father. Jeffry retorted saying he lives in California while Shepherd lives in New Jersey and he can’t properly help his son. The judge denied Jeffrey’s emergency request, but set a court date for July.
Sherri’s current husband, Lamar Sally just filed for divorce and wants to gain full custody of their unborn child being carried by a surrogate.
