Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice denies she asked for any donations at a recent meet-and-greet at an event at Maliblue Oyster Bar in Lido Beach, N.Y. The press release for the event stated, “A group of bartenders and staff from a legendary Long Island beach resort and catering facility are collecting donations to support the legal defense of … Teresa Giudice. They strongly believe Teresa will be vindicated soon and will be collecting funds to aid her defense. They are seeking donations from compassionate fans of the reality TV star, who has four young children. The group is dedicated to helping Teresa stay out of prison and also help pay any fines or other restitution that Teresa and Joe are ordered to pay.”
But Teresa took to Twitter to deny being involved in asking for donations. “Tonight’s appearance at Maliblue is just a meet & greet w/ fans. I just heard that some of the workers there wanted to support me, and that s very sweet & I appreciate it, but if anyone wants to support me, please do it by donating to a charity I love: @NephCure. Xx.” The company later apologized for the misunderstanding.
